I can’t believe it’s already that time again! Time sure does fly by these days. I didn’t get much feedback on if you guys liked to have more word puzzles so I decided to make another one, just to see! Well, to be honest it’s not really a word puzzle but it’s also not really a math one either. I guess you’ll just have to check out it and see what I cooked up for you on this week’s Enigma.
In the future, we will be having an “Enigma Event / Super Enigma” that will be collaborative. That means during these special Enigmas specifically you will be allowed to work together with 1 other person. I cannot promise you that this will happen in the next month, but once we iron out the details on how to keep things fair to everyone we will relay the information onto you all. Feel free to leave your comments below as to your thoughts are one having an occasional collaborative Enigma.
Solving this past enigma goes something like this:
"Find what letter shows up eleventh to the preceding one which comes nine letters following the fifth appearance of the seventh that occurs three times. "
Solve each section of the phrase in reverse.
"seventh that occurs three times" = Count the letters in sets of 3; or as each letter appears the third time
Find what letter shows up eleventh to the preceding one which comes nine letters following the fifth appearance of the seventh that occurs three times.
In order of appearance it is TENOWHICSLRFPA (and so on). The seventh (letter) to have an appearance 3 times is I.
"the fifth appearance of the seventh" = find the fifth letter I.
Which will be found in the word following.
"nine letters following the fifth" = count 9 letters after (or to the right of) the “I” in following
This will bring you to the “t” in fifth.
Lastly, "eleventh to the preceding one" = count backwards 11 letters
This will bring you to the second “o” in the word following.
